American Quartet

The Dance Arts Performing Arts Company | In Summer, settlers arrive on the prairie. They are full of excitement and hope, ready for exploration and new beginnings. They seek a fresh start in a new home. In Autumn, settlers come of age, either in love or in grief. Three sisters living on a homestead come to terms with loss and learn to endure through simple acts of caretaking. Passing through the scene are three pairs of ‘lovers:’ a parent and child, a young couple in love, and a pair of friends, demonstrating all the ways we can love each other and lift each other up. In Winter, cowhands make many comical attempts to corral their horses in a blizzard, exemplifying teamwork, perseverance, and respect for animals and the elements. In Spring, all the cast returns for a celebration of renewal, progress, and entering the future. You’re entire family will love this original and amazing ballet and musical performance!
